Seahawks new senior football executive McCloughan puts family beyond work

After his wife filed a second divorce lawsuit this February, former San Francisco 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan realized how much he sacrificed to his job. Thus he made a decision that may affect his career but improve his relationship with family: leaving the 49ers and joining the Seattle Seahawks to work as a senior football executive.

“I understand now that the job can’t consume your life,’’ McCloughan told the Boston Globe. “I’m still young, and I still love football. But it was consuming my life, and it’s just not as important as your health or taking care of your family.’’

McCloughan also said that he was frustrated when received the summons from court. Thinking that he might lose his family, his three kids, he had to reevaluate job and family. He wanted to be a good father and husband before it’s too late so he chose to apply for job that would give him some leeway. He got it from the Seahawks, who hired him as a senior football executive, who can stay based out of Northern California and will operate as a national scout. McCloughan was glad that he finally has time to watch his own sons playing football in Bradshaw jerseys and cheer with them for their favorite NFL teams.

There should be cartoon movies about football

Everything is possible in a cartoon movie and a football team full of big-name players, historic or current, so the game is much more exciting than a real one. Of course the director can decide who is going to win, but the winning team should at least convince most football fans that it deserves the win.

Thus we have a chance to test some star football players on whether they have been overrated. I’d like to see whether the only quarterback winning four Super Bowl rings, former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw won all the games because of his abilities or his lucks. I imagine the cartoon version of Terry Bradshaw to exaggerate his defects in outlook and look dumb in over-sized Bradshaw jersey, I don’t know why but can’t help thinking Bradshaw should be like that in a cartoon movie. Michael Irvin should be big and strong, Archie Manning should be short and smart and Brett Favre is tall and threatening.

The cartoon movie about football game would make the sport more popular with non-American people. Just like the Slamdunk made basketball game popular with Chinese long before Yao Ming joined the NBA, a carton movie is also very likely to make the American football a well-known sport in Asia as cartoon movie about sports is always liked by young people.
