One day after safety Ryan Clark visited the Miami Dolphins, he decided to sign a contract with, not the Dolphins, but the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yeah, his final decision is to wear back the Steelers jersey, and it was reported that he will get a four-year deal.
"My plan was to retire a Steeler. It took a little longer than I wanted it to get this deal done," Clark said. "But I think in the end, both sides got what they wanted."
Clark was expected to sign with the Dolphins; he sounded enthusiastic about that prospect when he spoke with the Miami Herald on Sunday during his visit. I guess the Steelers made some attractive offer to the safety who helped them win the Super Bowl in 2009.
The Steelers also plan to sign free agent wide receiver Antwaan Randle EI, who was with the Steelers for his first four seasons but spent the last four seasons with the Washington Redskins. When he was with the Steelers, Randle El was a key contributor to the team’s 2005 Super Bowl championship. Having 50 receptions for 530 yards and no touchdowns last year, he was released by the Redskins this offseason although there are still three years left on his seven-year contract.

Steelers have new pro scouting director Brandon Hunt
As former pro scouting director Doug Whaley left the Pittsburgh Steelers to become an assistant general manager with the Buffalo Bills, the Steelers brought back Brandon Hunt to take replacement. And this time, Hunt came as experienced and professional.
Hunt’s first appearance in Pittsburgh was in 2005 when he came as an intern in their player personnel department. After spending two seasons with those playing pro football in Steelers jerseys, he went to Texans to become a pro scout for the Houston Texans in 2007.
Before doing the player personnel job, Hunt was a football player at Division II Indiana (Pa.) University. From 2000 to 2003, he played four years of college football as a starting offensive lineman and played once in the all-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team as a guard.

Steelers have new punter Graessle and WR London
According to reports on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ website, the team made announcement Tuesday that they have signed punter Adam Graessle and wide receiver Brandon London to its offseason roster.
Graessle (6-4, 225) out of the University of Pittsburgh was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2009, but was released prior to training camp. He was then signed to the California Redwoods of the United Football League (UFL) and played there for the 2009 season.
London (6-4, 215) started pro career earlier than Graessle. He was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Massachusetts in 2007. He spent the 2007 season on the Giants’ practice squad but was released prior to the 2008 season. London then put on the Miami Dolphins jersey on Aug. 31, 2008 to play the season for the team. He appeared in 14 games and started one of them, having totally three catches for 30 yards. That could be why the Dolphins released him before 2009 season.

Steelers are in danger of missing playoffs after being defeated by Raiders
When it was one minute and fifty-six seconds before the end of the game, the Pittsburgh Steelers were still 24-20 ahead of the Oakland Raiders, but when it came to nine seconds before the end, Louis Murphy caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Bruce Gradkowksi, sealing the game with Raiders 27-24 win over the Steelers together with Raiders’ three late touchdowns.
The Steelers are now 6-6 after losing four consecutive games and are in danger of missing the playoffs. They have lost games to a team we did not expect they could be defeated by for twice, first time by the Kansas City Chiefs, then the Raiders, and have fallen three games behind the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North.
And Ben Roethlisberger, wearing back his Steelers jersey after sitting out a game with a concussion, completed 18 of 24 for 278 yards, two TDs and an interception thrown into the end zone late in the first half. What we can expect for next games? None of the Browns, the Packers, the Ravens and the Dolphins is a hard-to-win team, but after being beaten by of the NFL’s worst teams in the last three weeks, the Steelers are not very convincing in keeping unbeaten while playing against each of the four teams.

Steelers won over Broncos 28-10 with Carter replacing Clark
Two years ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers starting safety Ryan Clark could not finish the game in Denver and ended his season with spleen and gall bladder cut in operations. This season, he visited with his team to Denver again and was able to return with team in full health.
He did not play, and he even did not wear Steelers jersey, but it is just as exciting to witness his team winning over the Broncos and his replacement, Tyron Carter, contributed key interceptions in helping the team to their fifth straight win, taking the first interception 48 yards for a touchdown.
That is good enough. Even if Clark was a bit unhappy with Coach Mike Tomlin’s decision to hold him out for the game, he has got over it now. He could did as well or even better than Carter, but the team just has reason to be cautious as Clark nearly died two years ago because of a rare blood disorder that is aggravated by playing in high altitude.

Steelers still seeking ways to slow down Vikings RB Peterson
In order to keep their 100-yard streak, the Pittsburgh Steelers must find a way to slow down the Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who gained 180 yards against the Cleveland Browns and 143 yards against the Baltimore Ravens.
To beat the unbeaten 6-0 Vikings on Sunday seems like an impossible task for the six-time Super Bowl Champion team Steelers. Vikings quarterback Brett Favre remains one of the NFL’s prolific passers, and Peterson’s 624 yards rushing lead the NFL and his 5.16 yards per carry average through 36 career games is the highest in NFL history at that stage of a career.
But the Steelers have their own confidence. Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin refused to call Peterson the NFL’s best running back. The team itself is No. 2 against the run and managed to limit No. 2 rusher Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans to 57 yards and No. 3 rusher Bengals’ Cedric Benson, who is the first to break the Baltimore Ravens’ 100-yard streak this season, to 76 yards. Latest information of injured Steelers
On Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton left practice with a knee injury, and second-year wide receiver Limas Sweed also did not finish practice because of hamstring injury. Running back Willie Parker still sat out for back spasms. Outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley returned after sitting out three days with swelling in his right knee.
Hampton missed three games last season with a groin injury. As a four-time Pro Bowl player, he is considered the key to the Steelers' league-leading rushing defense, and coach Mike Tomlin expected that he would be fine and able to play during regular season.
